I found some drift wood that I thought might be interesting to start to carve.  I started to carve into the pieced of wood and it was still a little wet. So I just left it until this week. It dried out and I used a dremel for the first time just to try it out.  I do not have any pictures of the progression because I was not sure how things would turn out (you can be the judge of that).  This piece of wood looks like a beaver got a hold of it.

This piece was carved using a dremel tool.

Here was the first of the three pieces that was carved. (It was a nice change of pace to try something new.)

The baseball hat is something I like to do every once in a while.

I have not carved many wildlife scenes, but it is something I would like to start doing more of.  This little cub stranded in a tree has made excited to carve some more. I am going to Tyler Borg (see his work on a previous post) help me out with some more detail on my next wildlife scene.

This little guy was not done with a dremel, but I found these pieces of wood in the same reservoir.
