Lady of the day.
This has been an interesting piece of bark to carve.  It may have been the ugliest start of a  carving I have had for a long time.  With that being said I am sometimes shocked at the transformation that has come with this old lady. She has curlers in her hair and a little shocked at her own beauty.

I think this looked more like a mummy than a lady but I am just trying to get the shape of the head right now.

Less like a mummy and more like a pirate.  You can now start to see the form.

I am just starting to put in the curlers and smooth the face out just a little.

Curlers are almost done and there is a face in a piece of wood. It still needs some details and I realized that she might need a neck.

This lady now has a neck, blouse and even some eyeballs. She is about ready to get some color.

I carved a little to deep around the neck and found the light at the end of the tunnel.
